Shows & Movies New on Streaming

by

Want to stay in and watch a show? Me too. I used to get excited to dress up and stay out late, but I won’t lie to you: Those days are over. Instead, streaming what’s new is now my idea of a good time. Heck, I even mark release dates in my calendar. What can I say? I love being a homebody.

With all of the streaming services now, it can be hard to keep up with what to watch and where to watch it. But, this month, the lineups are so good that you will want to ensure you have access to all of the platforms—or at least your friend’s passwords. These shows and movies are about to be the topic of conversation in The Everygirl’s #watercooler Slack channel, and I’ll be damned if I miss out on that.

Cancel your plans and get comfortable because it’s time to hit “Play.” Without further ado, here are some of the most anticipated shows and movies that are new on streaming this month.

Outer Banks (Season 4 – Part 1)

Paradise on Earth returns once again with the first five episodes of the hit show ‘Outer Banks.’ What happens when six Pogues finally get their hands on the gold they’ve been searching for? Higher stakes and more to lose. Looks like Netflix is sticking to their two-part drop formula with this one, so we’ll definitely be binging the first half of this season in anticipation of the second part of season 4.

Mr. Crocket

Children’s shows and horror isn’t a combination that most people would expect to go together, but the trailer for ‘Mr. Crocket’ sure sends some chills down my spine. In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children, brutally slaying their parents in the process. After Mr. Crocket snatches her son, one determined mother embarks on a perilous quest to track down the demonic entertainer and rescue her boy.

Teacup

This new series has us on the edge of our seats, with a trailer that reminds me of the best of the best of the horror genre, so you can bet I’ll be tuning in for this one. ‘Teacup’ follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. When one boy goes missing, he returns with a warning for the group, and suddenly, no one can trust each other. Other than that… it looks like we’ll have to watch to find out, because the trailer is as cryptic as it is creepy.

Salem’s Lot

From the creators of ‘The Conjuring’ Universe comes the latest Stephen King remake, ‘Salem’s Lot.’ I’m a huge fan of ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘It’ movies, so this one’s got me very, very excited. Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire. This iconic book is sure to even more heart-pounding on screen.

‘The Franchise’ series follows the crew of an unloved franchise movie fighting for their place in a savage and unruly cinematic universe. Every failed superhero has an origin story.

Caddo Lake

I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for anything starring Dylan O’Brien, but this gripping psychological drama is definitely earning a spot in the watch list for this month, casting aside. When an 8-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history.
