The Zodiac Signs Destined for a ‘Gilmore Girls’ Fall

by

The temps are dropping, which can only mean one thing: It’s time for a Gilmore Girls fall. I don’t know about you, but I get the itch every year around this time to rewatch the show for the hundredth time. There’s just something about the familiar characters, small-town setting, and Lorelai and Rory’s iconic outfits that get me in the fall spirit.

Stars Hollow is the ultimate destination for autumnal vibes thanks to its cozy feel and the endless supply of coffee at Luke’s. It doesn’t hurt that there’s also somehow always a fall activity taking place—it feels like it’s eternally fall in Stars Hollow. And while I think we all hope to have as good of an autumn as the residents of Stars Hollow, there are some who are more likely than others to make the most of September through November. These are the four zodiac signs destined to have a Gilmore Girls fall.

Cancer

Ruled by the moon, Cancers embody comfort, care, and all things cozy. If you have a Cancer in your life, chances are they’re probably your comfort person (just like how Gilmore Girls is a classic comfort show) due to their empathic and compassionate nature. They’re also major homebodies—they definitely love a takeout order from time to time. Much like Lorelai and Rory, Cancers are content with spending a night at home reading a good book or watching their favorite movie and eating junk food with their best friend. That’s why they’re likely to have a fall fit for a Gilmore. Looking for something to do while you cuddle up at home? We suggest trying the Rory Gilmore book challenge or watching a fall-themed movie.

Taurus

Taureans are stereotypically known for two main things: their appreciation for aesthetics and their stubbornness. What do these traits have to do with a Gilmore Girls-esque fall? More than you might initially think—after all, can you think of any two characters who are more stubborn than Rory and Lorelei Gilmore? Since they love comfort and the finer things in life, Taureans have the ability to create warm, welcoming atmospheres, much like Stars Hollow itself. Taurus signs also make excellent hosts, as the most likely sign to plan an unforgettable Halloween party or Friendsgiving and invite the whole town. These signs are true community members.

Libra

If Zodiac signs were seasons, Libras would most definitely be autumn (just like Richard Gilmore). Represented by the scales, Libras strive to create balance and harmony in life. Similarly, fall is the equilibrium between summer and winter when the weather isn’t too hot or too cold. Libras also love to put their relationships first in their lives. Whether it’s a romantic partner, friends, or family, they enjoy companionship and work to maintain balance in these relationships, too. With Thanksgiving being fall’s hallmark holiday, it only makes sense that Libras would enjoy taking the entire autumn to express gratitude for their loved ones. Plus, the Gilmores themselves tend to be fairly relationship-oriented, too. For all her ambition and focus, Rory can’t resist a good love story.

Pisces

pisces

Pisces signs live in a world all their own, full of wonder and possibilities. They love to daydream and let their minds wander, and if you ask me, fall is the perfect time for them to do just that. They’ll feel inspired by the colors of the changing leaves, the crisp air, and all the options for their Halloween costume. Because of their introspective nature, Pisces signs often enjoy being in comfortable, familiar spaces—much like our homebody queens Lorelai and Rory. They love activities like walking around their small town, drinking a cup of coffee at their favorite local café, or cozying up at home. Pisces signs can also be emotional and reflective, so the nostalgia that comes with fall suits them perfectly.
